Dear Sir,
In accordance with article 3.5.5 of the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations, we confirm our decision.
Motif
On October 21, 2018 during the Moto2 race of the MOTUL GRAND PRIX DU JAPAN, your machine
failed the post-race technical inspection, in the sense that the rear tire pressure was found to be lower than the parameters advised by the Official Supplier. This contravenes article 2.5.4.9.1. of the FIM World Championships Grand Prix Regulations.
Summons
You have been summoned to a hearing with the MotoGP Stewards Committee. You attended the hearing and admitted the facts presented.
Sanction
For the above reason, the FIM MotoGP Stewards Committee has imposed a disqualification on you from the Moto2 race of the MOTUL GRAND PRIX OF JAPAN.
Right of appeal
In accordance with articles 3.4.2, 3.4.6 and 3.4.7 of the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations, you have the right to appeal this decision of the MotoGP Stewards Committee to the FIM Appeal Stewards. A notice of appeal must be made within 30 minutes of the date and time of this notification, accompanied by a security deposit of €1320. The appeal can be made to the IRTA, who can also arrange for payment of the security deposit.
