Japanese Grand Prix MotoGP Race: Cal Crutchlow's "hot take"!

Having barely got off his factory Honda RC213V from the LCR Honda team after winning 2nd place in the Japanese Grand Prix, it was a confident Cal Crutchlow who spoke to the microphone of the official website MotoGP.com.

Cal, you were fast during all the sessions here in Motegi, and 2nd this Sunday. Tell us what the race was like for you…

Cal Crutchlow : “obviously, everyone saw that it was a big fight today. I'm happy with the result of the race and the team did a fantastic job. The problem we had was that Dovi kept a normal pace and he allowed the riders behind to catch him, but I think we did a very good job managing that situation. I struggled a little on the left side with the rear grip, so I tried to save the tire until the end of the race. Then, when Dovi crashed, I took 2nd place. In the end, I'm really happy, I think we're riding really well at the moment, and with this great result we're going to head to Phillip Island with a good mentality.”
