Today, Moto3 riders impress us all when, turn after turn, braking after braking, they fight neck and neck, in the truest sense of the expression.

Four-abreast braking, contact, suction 10 cm from the rear wheel, nothing seems to frighten these young talents, some of whom are barely out of adolescence!

Moto3 rider of the SIC58 Squadra Corse of Paolo Simoncelli, Lorenzo Fellon is made of this metal and, since its recent progress, more than honorably holds its place in the group of furious that only the last round decides before establishing a ranking as tight as a can of sardines.

During this summer break, the boy had the opportunity to go as a neighbor to the den ofYves Kerlo, which most French Grand Prix drivers have used over the decades, whether for exhausts, a tank, a frame, a fairing or any other tailor-made element.

Today, the man has left his region of Chartres to settle near Avignon and devotes himself mainly to the restoration of old competition machines. In the name of the friendship which linked him with the late Jean-Bertrand Bruneau, aka JBB, he undertook to update a good part of the heritage of the man who constantly innovated, and it is for this reason that the Kawasaki 750 H2 enthroned in his workshop imagined in 1971, half a century ago ( then built in 1972 and used by pilot Renaud La Hondé in 1974 at Magny-Cours), by the man who was then both a dental student and ACO instructor. One of the characteristics of this machine, the first creation in a very long and very original line, is its tank really encompassing the knees and arms of its pilot.

After taking a position on the original refurbished mount, Lorenzo Fellon had a reaction that was explicit to say the least: “But, I can’t get up!” »

Another era, another style of driving, and if the drivers of the 70s undoubtedly rightly appear as death tricks to the current generation, there is no doubt that the latter impresses the survivors of the Continental Circus just as much... All of them are exceptional champions!
