The Austrian Grand Prix thrilled the crowds last year with the extraordinary domination of the Ducati, thus ending a long period of drought for fans. On site, the organization was at the top level, and this is why the Grand Prix Commission decided to elect it the best race of the year, taking into account in particular its installations and infrastructures.

Carmelo Ezpeleta (CEO of Dorna Sports) and Hervé Poncharal (President of IRTA) therefore went to Austria, to present the prize to Dietrich Mateschitz (co-founder of Red Bull), at the start of the Ski World Cup in Kitzbühel .

As for the number of spectators, all tickets have been sold for Sunday. It is therefore no surprise that we decided to name the Austrian GP the best race of the year. This route could constitute a reference for future MotoGP events. »

Dietrich Mateschitz – Co-founder of Red Bull:
