After a rather lackluster Friday, Pedrosa hoped that this second day would allow him to move up in the rankings. Unfortunately he was not able to close the gap to the front runners and will only start from the fourth row tomorrow.

Dani Pedrosa didn't have the Saturday he was hoping for. Fourteenth in FP3, he did not manage to automatically qualify for Q2. Despite an eighth place in FP4 and his rescue during Q1, he ultimately qualified in tenth position.

Despite his place on the grid, the Repsol Honda driver is only eight tenths behind the leader: “The lap times were very close and the differences very minimal. It's a matter of tenths, but those tenths mean a lot. Unfortunately I didn't manage to put in a good qualifying lap, so I'm not very happy with the result and our weekend here in general. »

However, the team still has hope of finding solutions by tomorrow's race, and that will be the challenge at the end of the day and the Warm Up: “We will work hard this evening to find a solution. Right now we're losing all over the place, and in the end it's creating a pretty big gap overall. »

The Spaniard maintains his usual calm and tries to see things the right way, because nothing is lost yet: “Let’s be positive. If we can improve a little, we should be able to improve our speed across the entire track. We'll see what we can see, and we'll focus entirely on the race tomorrow. »
