Barely got off his Yamaha M1 from the Monster Tech3 team after giving everything to obtain pole position in qualifying for the French Grand Prix, his ninth consecutive front row, Johann Zarco spoke to the microphone of the official website MotoGP.com.
Johann, this is incredible! In front of your own crowd, the perfect trick! What are your feelings?
Johann zarco : " That's great ! A great emotion! I didn't expect to feel so much emotion, already in qualifying. Of course I wanted to be fast, but fast like that, in 1'31.1, I was surprised when I read that on the dashboard of my bike. The first run had already been quite good, but I felt that a new tire could still bring something more in its first lap. And I tried to use it on the second run and I'm very happy that it worked well. Here at Le Mans, I'm happy that the work we're doing, when we're progressing with the bike and its settings, is working with new tires and worn tires. So it’s positive for the race tomorrow. Thanks to the crowd: I think they can bring me a lot of positive energy, and we will see tomorrow if this energy is good enough to win.”
