At the end of the first day of testing, Marcel Schrötter took command of the category, ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Álex Márquez. The favorites are in the top 10, and some drivers like Joan Mir and Jorge Navarro have created a surprise.

The temperature is 17 degrees in the air and 28 degrees on the track when the Moto2 riders set off for FP3. Isaac Viñales (SAG Team) sets a first reference time of 1'38.255.
After ten minutes, Joan mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) took command of the session, ahead of Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors), Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team), Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Isaac Vinales. At the same time, Lukas Tulovic (Kiefer Racing) falls, imitated a few moments later by Eric Granado (Forward Racing Team).

Mid-session, Iker Lecuona (Swiss Innovative Investors) is falling at high speed. During this time, Joan mir still in the lead you rank in 1'37.196 ahead Mattia Pasini, Marcel Schrötter (Dynavolt Intact GP), Alex Marquez, Sam Lowes et Isaac Viñales. Behind, Xavi Virgo (Dynavolt Intact GP), Fabio Quartararo (Beta Tools – Speed Up Racing), Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP 40) and Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) complete the top 10.
Twenty minutes before the end, Roman Fenati (Marinelli Snipers Team), then Mattia Pasini, Tetsuta nagashima (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia) and Frederick Fuligni (Tasca Racing Scuderia Moto2) fell in turn. Back in the pit lane, the latter loses his exhaust!

Ten minutes from the end, it's Alex Marquez who leads in front of his teammate Joan mir et Mattia Pasini. An eighth fall occurs, it is Stefano Manzi, who fortunately gets up quickly, like all the others. Five minutes later, it's the French wild card Cedric Tangre (Yohan Moto Sport) who makes a mistake.
Marcel Schrötter takes command of the session, and falls a few minutes later. However, this has no impact on the final result since no one manages to finish ahead of him.
