The French Grand Prix had barely finished, Jules Danilo continued with tests on the circuit this Monday. He took the opportunity to tell us his first-hand feelings about this weekend at Le Mans, which was his first in the Moto2 category but also his best since the start of the season.

“This weekend was really very positive for me. It was clearly the smallest gap I've had with the leading riders since I started riding Moto2. In the race I finished 1,6 behind the best time. It's also my best place. »

“Twentieth place is nothing to be happy about, but it shows that we are in the right direction and that little by little I feel better and better on the bike. The team also helps me feel better. At the start it was a bit complicated, there were a lot of problems during the first three races, but now we have a direction and we don't lose concentration too much. This allows me to get back on the bike feeling comfortable, without having to rediscover it each time. »

“The weekend was very positive, and now I am finishing a day of testing this Monday where I have made a lot of progress, honestly more than I expected. I improved my weekend time by six tenths and I had a much better race pace than yesterday even though the conditions were not necessarily better: the track was much warmer today. This is all very positive. I tried to do a lot of laps to learn how to control the bike and now I'm very close to my teammate. I am also much closer to the drivers in front. »

“The idea now is to be able to feel comfortable more quickly when you arrive on a new track and to progress quickly. I hope we can apply everything we learned here to Mugello. »
