HJC is pleased to announce the signing of the most anticipated rider in the MotoGP premier class in 2022, Raúl Fernández from the Tech3 KTM Factory Racing team.

Raul Fernandez, a 21-year-old rider from Madrid, Spain, set the world of MotoGP racing on fire in his third motorcycle Grand Prix season. Fernandez broke the record for most Moto2 victories by a rookie, a record previously held by 8-time world champion Marc Marquez. Although Fernández missed out on the 2021 world title by just 4 points, he amassed 8 total wins, 12 podiums and 7 pole positions in his first year in Moto2. With Fernández's success in Moto2, he has earned his place in the premier MotoGP class with the Tech3 KTM Factory Racing team for 2022.

Fernández will compete in the 2022 MotoGP season with HJC's new premium FIM approved racing helmet, the RPHA 1. The RPHA 1 made its competitive debut in 2021 at the Qatar Grand Prix and has already earned a reputation for being the one of the most efficient helmets in the world.

Fernandez said: “I am very excited to be working with HJC Helmets in 2022. HJC is a family business that has welcomed me with open arms. HJC has a great history in MotoGP racing and has a great future with several talented young riders racing with its helmets. I would like to thank HJC for the opportunity to join the family. I can’t wait to enjoy the 2022 MotoGP season and race with the all-new RPHA 1 helmet from HJC.”

Although he is still early in his career, Fernández will test himself by lining up on the grid with the best of the best, but the Spaniard is ready for the challenge of becoming what most riders can only dream, MotoGP world champion.

Welcome to the HJC family, Raúl Fernández!
