The city of Misano has decided to pay tribute to Nicky Hayden with the construction of a garden which will bear his name. Work will begin after Easter.

Misano pays tribute to Nicky Hayden with a garden that will bear his name: on Thursday, the City Council, in response to a request from the municipal administration, approved the project to build this garden, with the aim of commemorating the unfortunate American pilot .

The installation will be done at the expense of some friends of the 'Kentucky Kid', first of all Denis Pazzaglini, former mechanic of the pilot when he raced in MotoGP with the Repsol Honda Team, and will be located in the same place where the fatal accident occurred, thanks to the transfer of land by the owners. Work on the project will begin after Easter and the intention is to complete it in time for the first anniversary of the pilot's death, May 22 last year.

“The Misano municipal administration immediately accepted the request of Nicky Hayden's friends”, declared Mayor Stefano Giannini. “The American pilot had a landmark in this city and Denis Pazzaglini, a Misanese doctor, was one of his dearest friends. As fate would have it, they were together cycling on these roads until a few hours before the accident. »
