The additional 30-minute MotoGP session, which was to start at 14 p.m. French time, has just been canceled due to the wet track.
Indeed, if the drivers could have tested the rain or intermediate tires there, they would not have been able to try the new “Extra types” offered by the French manufacturer for the race. However, this can still take place very well on a dry track since, as we informed you, only a few drops fall on the circuit and the different sessions could end up drying out the track.
This is therefore an extremely complicated situation to manage and we could still see changes to the timetable to allow drivers not to start the race with tires they have never tried.
