The famous company of motorcycle suits, helmets and other protections has inaugurated its museum in Vicenza with numerous guests including champions Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini.

Dainese now offers a journey through time within the city of Vicenza. This is where the company decided to create its museum. Famous for having dressed and thus protected motorcycle riders, it has expanded its areas over the years to also take care of skiing and cycling.

In this museum, no documents, but rather concrete things with equipment, videos, tests and objects invented and produced since 1972, the year Dainese was founded. Visitors will be able to find a multitude of things there, from MotoGP helmets to a collection of suits damaged by falls and studied by experts, including the patented air bag system and space suits created in partnership with the European Space Agency.

The creator and former boss of the company, Linen Dainese, presented the inauguration, and qualified the museum “archive of ideas. » Now a shareholder of the company, he wanted this museum to take shape in order to show “the commitment of a lifetime” in a cause that was dear to him: to protect pilots as best as possible, and thus show new generations what it is possible to achieve when you follow your ideas and pursue your objectives. Forty-six years of projects and developments are shown to the public.

“When I set foot in the company four years ago, I immediately knew that Dainese had a great story to tell and that it could not remain locked away in internal archives forever. Now that Lino's project has become a reality, everyone will be able to see up close what Dainese is, has been and will be since 1972." said Christian Silei, the current leader of the group.

For its part, Valentino Rossi, who came to attend the inauguration, paid tribute to the creations of Lino Dainese: “I used to look at these suits when I was little because they belonged to the champions. Today I can say that they have often saved my skin! »

Other pilots were present, including Giacomo Agostini, but also Moto3 riders Niccolo Antonelli et Tony Arbolino.
