The Yamaha PW50 could be considered an icon. Who hasn't dreamed of it when they were little? This little dirt bike has introduced tens of thousands of kids to motorcycling over the past four decades. Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton had one, which he restored for his daughter and shared with us on video.

Aaron Colton made his name as a professional stunt rider, but he has experience in road racing, flat track, supermoto and also off-road. In short, a jack of all trades, as long as it has 2 wheels. And it all started with a PW50.

Even today, the little “peewee” is considered the essential initiation model for toddlers. It has small wheels, a suitable saddle, a small 50 cc two-stroke engine and an automatic transmission. It even has a throttle adjustment screw so parents can control top speeds. It's a perfect motorcycle for learning.

The model Aaron Colton started on was a 1993 vintage, decked out in Yamaha's white/pink/blue color scheme from the early '90s. He sold it eight years ago, but managed to track it down in beginning of the year.

Over 28 days – condensed to just under 19 minutes in the latest episode of Red Bull's Bike Builds – Aaron Colton takes this machine home, dismantles it completely, including the engine, and restores it as a gift to his daughter Luna on her fourth birthday. The process is incredibly meticulous, and it makes you dream, or brings back childhood memories for some!
