There is no shortage of Lego sets based on motorcycle models on the market today. From the Harley Davidson Fat Boy to the Ducati Panigale V4, many legendary models have been recreated in order to assemble them with colored bricks. It's Honda's turn to offer the Super Cub in a Japanese Nanoblock set, with bricks similar to Lego, although extremely small in size.

Launched in 1958, the famous Super Cub was the spearhead of the Japanese brand with the famous campaign “You Meet the Nicest People On a Honda”. The Super Cub's lower frame, its simple-to-operate engine and its unbeatable price made it a bestseller. The Super Cub is widely recognized as the most produced motor vehicle in history. In 2017, Honda produced 100 million copies.

Nanoblocks were introduced in Tokyo in 2008 and since then they have started to spread to several countries competing with LEGO. In fact, these bricks look similar but do not fit together, the Nanoblocks being much smaller than their competitor.

In addition to its affordable price, the Honda's timeless design also contributes to the simplicity of the whole thing. Nanoblock easily recreated the silencer from stacked round parts. However, the company also created a custom set of handlebars and fairings to make this miniature even more faithful. Finally, Honda and Nanoblock have paid particular attention to the precision of the saddle flatness and mudguard/tire proportions.

The Nanoblock Super Cub set contains 200 pieces to assemble, and reaches assembled dimensions of 43 x 58 x 84 mm. It comes in 2 different colors: green or blue. The kit costs US$9,42, or €8, and will be available from September 2021.
