Since January 17, theAdria International Raceway was seized by the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza due to a 53 million euro hole in the budget.

The bankruptcy procedure of F&M srl, the company that previously administered the Adria International Raceway, dates from October 2020 but was only executed on Monday afternoon by the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza, causing a wave of panic among employees even greater since in the meantime the track was managed by the company Bioitalia, which has nothing to do with F&M!

The situation is therefore complex and nothing could suggest such an event, especially since in the meantime the circuit had recently been the subject of work until 2021, with a completely new layout and a general restructuring which, for the anecdote, had allowed, at the time, Max Verstappen to take the Formula 1 test with Toro Rosso to obtain his F1 super license. This made it possible, among other things, to host the FIA ​​WTCR last year.

It is not clear to understand whether the conditions will be met to resume the activities planned in the circuit calendar or if the story ends there. Justice will therefore have to rule again on a possible reopening of the route located near Venice, but in the meantime WSK Promotion, which organized the winter tests of the new karting season there last weekend, has already moved the next two rounds of the WSK Champions Cup and the WSK Super Master Series from Adria to Lonato…
