You may certainly think of riding a motorcycle as a leisure activity similar to a walk in the park. While this may be true for some people, it is certainly not true for others. It goes without saying that getting on the handlebars of a heavy machine and handling it in the city, on the track or even off-road requires a lot of skill, technique and brute force. This means that people with stronger musculature definitely have an advantage.

The same goes for long distances, or even just spending several hours in the saddle running errands around town. Being fit and healthy simply gives you more energy to continue doing what you love most: riding motorcycles. That said, after the holidays and with New Year's resolutions in mind, now might be the perfect time to start your fitness goals. If going to the gym seems boring and meaningless, then perhaps tailoring your training to motorcycling could provide that much-needed boost of motivation.

This is where Erzi, a German company specializing in retail and exercise equipment, comes into the picture. The company recently released a new machine designed to activate the major muscle groups that are used most when a rider hits the road, trail, or ventures off the beaten path on two wheels. It's called the Core Bike, which is essentially a pull-up bar on wheels. Simply place your upper body in the same position as holding the handlebars, while the casters allow it to move freely, working the core, shoulders, chest, biceps and triceps.

The Erzi Core Bike is made entirely of wood and comes assembled. It costs €99,95, and is available for sale immediately.
