Ah, the thrill of browsing motorcycle classifieds. Sometimes it's just to take a look at what's out there. Other times, it's a real mission to find your next project: the kind of research where half the fun is not knowing what you'll stumble upon, but feeling like you're being useful. Maybe this is one of your dream motorcycles and maybe you're willing to overlook a few details in order to finally get it in your hands. In this video, it is a Honda CBX engine.

Brick House Builds is a custom shop that posts videos of its restorations on its YouTube channel, and the story of the owner of this CBX is one that will probably sound familiar to some of you. Many of us have a motorcycle in the garage that we've been dreaming about, but the fact is that if we find what seems like a good deal, it's probably a little too easy to convince us to buy it.

This is the third video in the CBX series from Brick House Builds, and it looks like that's pretty much exactly what happened here. The deal was too good to pass up, and although the buyer knew somewhere deep down that there was probably a scam, the heart has its reasons that reason ignores.

Previous owners can be the bane of any used car buyer. When you start finding random, unexplained pieces of metal, broken screwdriver tips and damaged carburetor screws, you may end up regretting your purchase.

Although this video offers an interesting look inside a CBX engine, it also allows you to see another angle: when faced with a restoration project that goes a little beyond what was expected, we is faced with two choices: sell it to the next person and let them worry about it, or take on the challenge, dismantle the beast and completely restore it.

In this video, the Brick House Builds team restorers built a special engine mount to facilitate both disassembly and moving in limited space, then performed a complete disassembly for a thorough inspection and rebuild. It remains to be seen the final result assembled within the framework of the CBX!
