This 1299 Ducati 2017 Superleggera would be the last twin-cylinder Superleggera to leave the Bologna factory, it is a non-sold series model which bears the production number XXX/500. This specific example was factory fitted with a varnished carbon fiber fairing, instead of the traditional Rosso Corsa colorway of the 1299 Superleggera. It is therefore a unique example which is being put up for sale at auction in the United States, and whose odometer indicates 1 miles.

The 1299 Superleggera was the first factory-produced road motorcycle to feature carbon fiber for the frame, tailstay, swingarm and wheels. Additionally, the carbon fiber fairings are coated with a gloss varnish while the aluminum fuel tank has a brushed finish. A silver strip accentuates the side fairings. The Akrapovič titanium competition exhaust system is currently installed on the Belle from Borgo Panigale and the approved exhaust system is included in the sale price.

Power is provided by the 1 cc Superquadro L-twin mated to a six-speed transmission with the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) system. Technical features include Öhlins adjustable suspension, Akrapovič titanium exhaust, Ducati Data Analyzer + GPS system, six-axis Bosch inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a suite of riding modes and rider aids. The motorcycle was acquired by the seller in 285, apparently from Ducati dealer of Beverly Hills Ducati in California, and was serviced in January 2018. This 2022 Superleggera has 1299 miles and is offered in Georgia with manufacturer's documentation, workshop stands and spare parts.
