As we have the pleasure of it very regularly, Hervé Poncharal shared with us his different points of view on this overseas season.

But, for once, due to current events, let's reverse the classic order of subjects to start with MotoE and end with MotoGP.

Hervé Poncharal, can you confirm today that MotoE tests will take place before the first race which will take place on the Sachsenring circuit?

Hervé Poncharal : " Yes. It has already been confirmed that the first race will take place at the Sachsenring and there are plans to have a 3-day test session beforehand. This corresponds to the tests which should have taken place in Jerez on April 23, 24 and 25. They will be replaced by a 3-day test session which will certainly take place in Valencia. On the last day, we would like to do an ePole test, which will correspond to the Superpole planned for MotoE, and perhaps a racing simulation.”

This will therefore take place in June…

" In the month of June ! The date has not yet been definitively set because it is complicated: you have to have the green light from Energica to have all the motorcycles, you have to have the green light from Enel to have the batteries and chargers, etc. We are looking for a definitive date, but what is certain is that we will have a 3-day session before starting the first race.”

Are your drivers impatient?

“Yes, of course, and I would like to say that we are very happy with the pole position at the 24 Heures Motos in Kenny Foray, our official MotoE rider! I hope he will have a good race in Sarthe and I will watch that this weekend.”
