About Marianna Giannoni for Motoracing

Federica Macciotta has a passion for engines in his DNA. His father, Claudio, earned his European 125 championship title and later became the VR46's chief technician. He has been gone since 2017 but his memory lives on in the dazzling smile of Federica, one of the most attractive hostesses in the MotoGP paddock, a former Miss Italy finalist. The young Piedmontese has a breathtaking body and approximately 75 followers on Instagram. Federica Macciotta was the partner ofAlex De Angelis.

« I approached the bike thanks to my father,” said Federica Macciotta. “II started practicing motorsport when I was a child. As a child, I went to the pits several times, even to Magny-Cours to watch the Formula 1 races. The world of engines has always been my love. The first time I went to MotoGP was at Misano in 2012. It was a fantastic experience. With my father, I managed to go around the track with the scooters on Wednesdays. It was an unforgettable weekend and I fell in love with this world even more. »

Dorna has decided to oust the Umbrella Girls from the WSBK grid. What do you think?
« The decision scared me a little and I was very disappointed. There is a lot of talk about emancipation and then the hostesses are removed from the starting grid. The problem is how to view the role of an umbrella girl. In my opinion, it is a remunerative and dignified job, which provides fantastic experiences and which are also very educational. If this stops, girls will no longer have the chance to learn something new, an opportunity they may not have in everyday life. Second, there is the issue of women's empowerment. If women are removed from the grid because they are “disturbing”, what emancipation are we talking about? In my opinion, we should better understand the reason for this decision, but I will not comment further. »

What do you do in your daily life ?
« What I do in competition or on social networks represents my free time. In everyday life I am a completely different person: I am a buyer, a business manager and I deal with food and drinks. It is my real job which gives me stability, real economic independence, which will allow me to buy a house and have a future. My work gives me satisfaction and makes me very happy. »

You were Alex De Angelis' partner. Do you want to talk about it?
« The subject is delicate because it enters the private sphere. It goes without saying that to be a pilot's girlfriend you have to be a little crazy, because you have to understand your need for adrenaline. They have very particular rhythms. Maybe from the outside it looks like a fantastic, easy circus, where they get up in the morning and go racing, then get on the bike, practice a little and that's it. It's not like that at all. At least it's not for Alex. He is someone who taught me a lot. As a man he is worth a hundred thousand and I will always speak well of him. For me, Alex De Angelis is the man with a capital H. Then, each one has its own character. Pilots have a completely different need for life than people who go to the office and are used to daily stability. Pilots die of routine. You have to align yourself with this perspective: that's the secret. »

You were attributed with a flirtation with Eros Ramazzotti, which was immediately denied. What happened ?
« I was at a business lunch where Eros Ramazzotti was with other people. One photo was taken and the others were deleted, also very badly. The funny thing is, at the time, I was living with Alex De Angelis, who laughed when he found out. The thing was denied in record time. It was obvious that someone wanted to surf it, maybe on my naivety or I don't know. I don't think about this nonsense anymore, it's worth less than zero to me. My own partner at the time had a good laugh with me. »

What are your plans for 2023 in the field of motor sports?
« In 2023, I hope to be able to do some MotoGP rounds in Italy and neighboring countries. I would like to evaluate a bigger collaboration with automotive, because I really enjoyed those experiences, so we'll see. Right now I don't have anything for sure, we'll see what happens. »
