During his training in Rufea for the Superprestigio, Johann Zarco gave a brief interview to the site Trademarks.

Brief but effective since the Tech3 pilot clearly answers most of the questions that currently interest enthusiasts.

Here are the most notable…

What is your feeling for the Superprestigio?

“I'm doing well, we've had little time to practice and I've seen that there are a lot of fast riders. If I already make it to the Superfinal, I will be very happy. We know it will be difficult, but even if I'm not fighting for victory, it's good training for the winter. »

How can a test on a dirt track help you with your MotoGP preparation?

“Sliding and throttle control is good training for MotoGP. You have to move around on the motorcycle and it's a great, safe exercise. »

Marc Márquez will be the big absentee at the Superprestigio…

“I hope a lot of people will come to watch the race, although Marc Márquez will not be there, but at least we will have a chance to get on the podium. »

What do you expect from next season?

“I'm happy with my last four races of 2017. I managed to maintain a very good pace and I was able to fight for victory. My goal next season is to start the same way I finished the last one. I'm sure I'll be able to fight for podium positions most of the time. »

But you won't have the same Yamaha as Rossi and Viñales...

“It's normal, we always use the official bike from the previous year. I have a lot to learn from the MotoGP category, it's fantastic and I'm really enjoying the Yamaha. With what I have, I will be able to be on the podium. »

Valentino Rossi's extension at Yamaha could close the doors of the official team...

“The goal is to fight for victories and podiums, the results are what will give me a place in an official team and a factory bike. It would be good if it was Yamaha, but if there is no place and I am one of the best, I could go elsewhere. I just focus on the races. »

KTM's interest is already official and openly recognized by its bosses. Does their approach appeal to you?

“I'm happy because this year they did an incredible job. It seems that they can still improve in the future, but I don't want to think about it now. »

Suzuki could be looking for a rider. They had already signed you a pre-contract and had not followed through. Would you consider them if they made you an offer?

“I'd rather not think about it now. »

Is it a compliment that some drivers, like Rossi, define you as aggressive?

“For me, it’s good. It's normal to be aggressive on motorcycles, and so far I've always been okay. You have to fight and I'm fighting. »

For you, who is the most aggressive rider in MotoGP?

“The strongest at the moment is Marc Márquez. I like how he manages to control everything perfectly. I would like to be like him. »
