This weekend is the Italian Grand Prix and all the transalpines will be at the party. Well, almost all, because in the ranks of Speed Up led by Luca Boscoscuro, we announced the end of the collaboration with his compatriot driver Axel Bassani. For the moment, we do not know who will take the vacant place alongside Simone Corsi.

The fate of the European Supersport champion was sealed even before the start of hostilities at his national meeting. Axel Bassani leaves the Moto2 scene by leaving his handlebars at Speed Up. A collaboration which was, however, long-term with a contract signed in September 2016 for two seasons with an optional third.

But it fizzled out. An accident during the Valencia tests and appendicitis when approaching the start in Qatar had placed the adventure under bad auspices. The more than average results subsequently recorded in Argentina, Texas, Le Mans and Jerez did not seal the agreement which therefore ended by mutual agreement. Everyone wished each other good luck for the future. Here is a liberated handlebar that will benefit Mugello Augusto Fernandez from the FIM CEV Repsol.
For the future, nothing is fixed yet…
