Valentino Rossi's usual schedule will be significantly modified on Thursday, and it will begin with a medical examination in order to receive the green light from the doctors to be able to continue his weekend, following his fall during motocross training.

Tomorrow was to include the presence of the Italian champion during the official press conference also bringing together Maverick Vinales, Dani Pedrosa, Johann Zarco, Andrea Dovizioso and Franco Morbidelli. But This will not be the case, with Valentino Rossi wanting to focus his efforts only on the crucial things for his home Grand Prix.

It will therefore be replaced by Andrea Iannone at the press conference which will be held tomorrow at 17 p.m., but specifies that he will provide his usual media debriefs in the Yamaha hospitality, at the end of each day starting on Friday.

The Yamaha rider is currently in third place in the championship, 23 points behind Maverick Vinales, and 6 points behind Dani Pedrosa.

Valentino Rossi : “Unfortunately, I crashed while training in Motocross. The pain in the abdomen and chest is always significant. Fortunately, my condition is improving day by day and this allows me to think a little more positively about the weekend in Mugello. My desire to be present at the start of the Italian Grand Prix is really strong and I am doing everything possible to recover quickly. It won't be easy but I still have a few days to continue the treatment. On Thursday, I will have to go through the medical check to receive the green light to be able to hit the track. If all goes well, I will ride my YZR-M1 on Friday to really see my physical condition. For sure, I will do my best to be in good shape on Sunday. »
