The Moto2 German Grand Prix provided an eventful Sunday for Jake Dixon, who secured his third podium finish of the season. Third under the red flag, the Briton displayed equal parts fighting spirit and frustration, while expressing his eagerness to see his teammate Filip Salac compete in front of his home crowd at the next round in Brno.

Starting from pole position, Dixon's hopes of victory were dashed at the first corner when he was pushed off the line by another driver. Relegated to seventh, he quickly moved back into the lead group, regaining third place thanks to solid pace and smart tire management.

But misfortune struck again on lap 16: hit from behind by Diogo Moreira, Dixon lost nearly two seconds and found himself having to chase the leaders, while preserving his rear tire for a closing attack. Unfortunately, the red flag interrupted his plans as he closed in strongly on the front two.

“I'm a bit frustrated because I was pushed wide at the first corner and then hit by another driver, confides this last Sunday evening. Which made me lose precious time. I had saved my rear tire for the end and I think I could have gone for the victory without the interruption. But we also have to be happy, because after my big crash yesterday, this weekend could have turned out much worse."

With this third place, Dixon strengthens his fourth position in the overall standings with 114 points. Already looking ahead, Dixon does not hide his enthusiasm at the idea of returning to the Brno circuit, where the team recently conducted tests.

Jake Dixon is especially happy to see his teammate Filip Salac playing in front of his home crowd in the Czech Republic: " I can't wait to go to Brno to see Filip handle the pressure of his home Grand Prix! He's like a king there and I'm really looking forward to seeing King Filip in action!"

Filip Salac, meanwhile, finished tenth at the Sachsenring, an encouraging result before returning to his fans in Brno. The atmosphere promises to be electric around the Czech driver, who will be eager to shine in front of his home crowd.
