Pagliani used his CIP Mahindra magnificently well in the wet to succeed in winning ahead of the cream of the category. He was ahead of Tatsuki Suzuki, Nicolo Bulega, Romano Fenati, Joan Mir, Aron Canet and Albert Arenas.

The weather was quite similar to that of the day before, with the track wet, 14° for the air temperature and 16° for that of the asphalt. The best time the day before was achieved by Nicolo Bulega during FP1 in 2'09.577. He then clearly dominated with his teammate Andrea Migno on their Sky Racing Team VR46 KTMs ahead of their compatriot Romano Fenati.

It was no longer raining by the time the session started, but the track was uniformly wet. Romano Fenati was the first to set a relatively fast lap in 2'12.7. Fenati kept the best time in 2'11.7, 0.1 ahead of Albert Arenas and 0.2 ahead of Niccolo Antonelli. The Sky Racing Tram VR46 riders left the pits later than the day before, with one of their KTMs experiencing a shifter problem that needed to be changed.
Niccolo Antonelli was the first of the session to fall without seriousness in turn 4, even though he had just set the fastest time on the Team Ajo KTM in 2'11.272. Albert Arenas was second in his Mahindra, 0.002 behind Antonelli.

Manuel Pagliani, one of the two drivers of Alain Bronec's CIP team, was running very regularly in the wet, like the day before. At mid-session he was in fifth place behind Niccolo Antonelli, Albert Arenas, Nicolo Bulega and Romano Fenati. Pagliani continued to attack and took command in 2'11.248. He improved shortly after in 2'10.867.
Lorenzo Dalla Porta fell without seriousness in turn 4. Nicolo Bulega moved up to second position, 0.5 behind Pagliani. But Pagliani, in great form, accelerated again in 2'10.343, 0.3 ahead of Nicolo Bulega, 0.4 over Joan Mir and 0.9 over Niccolo Antonelli.
5 minutes from the end of this third free practice session, Manuel Pagliani was still dominating, while his CIP teammate Alain Bronec Marco Bezzecchi was also well placed with the eighth time. Then Pagliani continued his festival by being the only one to go below 1.10, exactly in 2'09.935. He then preceded Romano Fenati by 0.6, Nicolo Bulega by 0.7 and Joan Mir by 0.9.
Tatsuki went on the attack two minutes from the end and set the ninth time, 0.096 behind Pagliani (96 incidentally being the Italian's race number). Adam Norrodin fell without seriousness at the end of the session.
Manuel Pagliani finally finished first ahead of Tatsuki Suzuki, Nicolo Bulega, Romano Fenati, Joan Mir, Aron Canet and Albert Arenas.
