Jerez: Lucas Mahias down and Florian Marino fifth

While there are only 2 races left (Jerez this Sunday and Losail on November 5) in World Supersport, Lucas Mahias fell without seriousness during the qualifying session in which he finished fifth. Florian Marino set the fifth fastest time in the Superstock 1000.

Lucas dominated the entire free practice session with his official R6. His main rival Kenan Sofuoglu is absent (pelvic fractures), while Sheridan Morais is 32 points behind Mahias and Jules cluzel at 39. It will be enough for Lucas to total more than 25 points on Sunday to be titled.

During Superpole 2, Lucas, very motivated, launched a big attack, and if it succeeded it would be pole. But it was the sandbox due to a small fall which left Mahias very disappointed. However, he will start from the middle of the second row, a position that he likes because it allows him to better manage the start of the race. Jules Cluzel set the second time, 0.049 behind the pole of Federico Caricasulo, teammate of Mahias.

Marino fifth, Rinaldi fourteenth

In Superstock 1000, Sunday's race is the grand finale, and Florian Marino is 8 points behind the leader, Ducati official Michael Rinaldi, and 6 ahead of Turkey's Toprak Razgatlioglu.

During the qualifying tests, dominated by Markus Reiterberger, Florian ranked fifth at 0.4, while his opponents Rinaldi and Razgatlioglu finished fourteenth and twelfth respectively.
