The first free practice session of this Spanish Grand Prix Moto2 version revealed Swiss KTMs in form ahead of the official Austrian machines and, above all, an impeccable “Pecco” Bagnaia who showed that he was indeed the boss of this start of the championship. We also saw a good Lecuona and an ambitious Mir as leaders of the new wave. The veterans will have to react, starting with last year's winner, Alex Marquez...

Conditions are still ideal Jerez which offers drivers a storm of blue skies and temperatures of 21° in the air and 37° on the track. It should be noted that, this morning, the VR46 driver was the only one to play in the 1'42 zone. Enough to psychologically mark opponents blocked in 1'43.
In 1'43.290, bagnaia sets the tone again, ahead Alex Marquez but also his teammate Luca marini. NAVARRO fall at turn 2. Marini did the same at turn 4 shortly after.
After half time, we noticed a Marquez and one Baldassarri in the first places and with a time in the 1'42. Sam Lowes joins this closed club five minutes from the goal.
In 1'42.537, Alex Marquez leads ahead Baldassarri, Lowes et bagnaia, the four men being the only ones under 1'43. A privilege that fenati took control at the end of the course to place fourth, ahead of the championship leader. During this time, Pasini was experiencing problems with his machine. He therefore remains eighth in front lecuona et Olive tree and behind Mir and Binder. Quarterly is in progress, since twelfth.
