Barely dismounted from his official Suzuki GSX-RR after crossing the finish line of the Spanish Grand Prix in 3rd position after a final overtake on Danilo Petrucci, Andrea Iannone spoke to the official website MotoGP.com the progress made despite a poor choice of rear tire on the starting grid.
Andrea, congratulations on this podium. What do you feel ?
Andrea Iannone : “Unfortunately we made a mistake with the rear tire. In the box, we chose the medium but finally, on the grid, we changed to the hard. So unfortunately I suffered a lot throughout the race because of this mistake. But OK, this will definitely serve as an experiment for us. I'm very happy to get another podium this weekend, and so it's very important for us to have improved a lot of things here. The direction we are following is good and so it is important for us to continue in this way.”
