Jack Miller had an excellent weekend at Jerez. Consistent and at the forefront during practice, he was less successful in qualifying but made up for it in the race to finish just two places behind his teammate. Their results allow the Pramac team to occupy third place among the teams in the Championship.

The Pramac driver performed very good free practice on Friday and then Saturday morning. He indeed finished 5th in FP1, 8th in FP2 and 6th in FP3, which allowed him to qualify directly for Q2.

Saturday afternoon went a little less well, since he could not do better than 12th in FP4 and in qualifying. Miller, however, was confident about his race pace for Sunday.

Despite a bad start, he managed to catch up with Valentino Rossi, Andrea Iannone and his teammate Danilo Petrucci. Thanks to the falls at the front, the group found itself fighting for the podium, and Jack ultimately finished sixth: “I fought with Valentino who has a little more experience than me, so I wasn't able to keep fifth place. »

This result adds to all those obtained by Miller in four races: a top 10 in Qatar, a fourth place in Argentina and ninth position in Austin. This excellent start to the season allows him to occupy eighth place in the Championship, and to be only ten points from the top 5.

The Australian therefore makes us very satisfied: “I am happy with this result. The race was very beautiful. Of course there were a few falls but I always stayed close to the group who were fighting for the podium. It was a great weekend for the team and that really gives me confidence. »
