Having barely got off his Honda RC213V from the LCR satellite team after having obtained pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix, pocketing the new record for the Jerez-Angel Nieto circuit in the process, it was an obviously very satisfied Cal Crutchlow who is entrusted to the camera of the official website MotoGP.com.
Cal, you appear to be at the highest level of your career. It looks like Honda has given you the bike you need…
Cal Crutchlow : " Yes thanks. Above all, my team did a great job this weekend, it seems we worked in the right direction and I am now competitive in all areas. And the bike is good, so you also have to give credit to the team, not just me for breaking the record today. I think you can see the difference between the factory bikes and mine, but honestly we're happy with what we have. I'm having fun riding my bike right now because it feels really good, and yes, I'm expecting a solid race tomorrow. I think there will be a big fight. You never know and it can be a race where I can escape, but it can also be a big fight. It seems like most guys have a similar race pace and are able to stay together. But I am confident that I can aim for a podium tomorrow.”
