This morning, the clear sky seems the opposite of the little tensions currently animating the paddock...

The session promises to be interesting because yesterday, apart from Cal Crutchlow who was able to gain an advantage of 3/10 over his little comrades, everyone was in approximately the same times, from 2nd, Dani Pedrosa, on the 9th, Danilo Petrucci.

The 2018 Spanish Grand Prix therefore promises to be exciting and this last free practice session will perhaps allow us to reinforce our excitement on this subject…

With 20° in the air, the temperature is pleasant but the track at 16° remains very cool: watch out for falls!

In your opinion, who are the first 2 drivers to line up at the exit of Pit Lane to wait for the green light? Tito Rabat et Jorge Lorenzo, as per usual !

Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to trying to have a free track, these two almost systematically starting at the front while others prefer to wait and start at the back, for the same reasons.

In terms of tires, the medium rear tire is the majority choice with the exception of Andrea Iannone on hard, and Danilo Petrucci, Esteve Rabat and Álvaro Bautista on soft.
For the front, the medium is also popular with the exception of Jorge Lorenzo, Karel Abraham, Scott Redding, Xavier Siméon and Mika Kallio in tender.

At the end of the first flying round, Jorge Lorenzo registered his name at the top of the table in 1'40.044, best time which drops to 1'38.864 on the next pass under the leadership of Marc Márquez.

Two more laps, and the Honda driver, although hampered by his teammate, gains a few hundredths in 1'38.803.

Halfway through the session, we find Marc Márquez ahead of Andrea Dovizioso, Cal Crutchlow, Valentino Rossi, Alex Rins, Danilo Petrucci, Johann Zarco, Andrea Iannone, Aleix Espargaro et Franco Morbidelli.

Jorge Lorenzo is 11th, Dani Pedrosa 15th and Maverick Vinales 24th!

6 minutes from the checkered flag, Dani Pedrosa jumped to 2nd position while Maverick Vinales is positioned 10th. Johann zarco goes back to 5th.

Marc Márquez continued his effort and recorded a 1'38.687 while Andrea Iannone, still on the hard rear tire, only conceded 2 tenths.

Marc Márquez then suffered his 3rd fall of the weekend, at turn 6 and still without any seriousness.

Jack Miller, who also fitted a hard rear tire like Andrea Iannone, moved up to 4th.

At the last minute, Dani Pedrosa lights the first 3 sections in red but also falls, this time at turn number 13 and with a certain brutality.

Note the good performances of Karel Abraham, 5th, and Franco Morbidelli, 8th.
