Crowned with his two “Number One” titles, Kenny Roberts arrived in Europe in 1978 with the firm intention of beating the stars of the Continental Circus. With his yellow and black motorcycles and a different way of approaching racing, Kenny Roberts shattered the certainties of a small romantic world. Three years in a row, Kenny Roberts won the supreme title. He thus opened a royal path for a generation of gifted American pilots. Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz and a few others would continue to write this story of which Pat Hennen was the first hero.
