Saturday April 16, 16:45 p.m. at the Sunday Ride at Paul Ricard, Johann Zarco will be on a factory Suzuki 500, a monstrous 4-stroke V2 like Kevin Schwantz and Kenny Roberts rode!
The MOTO2 World Champion dreamed of it, the Sunday Ride does it for him: Johann will ride a legendary 500 2-stroke. And, obviously, it was a Suzuki that was chosen !
But not just any Suzuki, since it is precisely an RGV V4 XR 88 from the factory team from the 98 season. One of the most advanced 500s in Grand Prix history, the same type as the one that won the title in 2000 with Kenny Roberts Jr.
To measure himself against this motorcycle racing legend, Johann will be in the company of Christian Sarron, also on a 500 Yamaha 2-stroke from this era.
The 2 World Champions will be reunited on the track for a passing of the baton between generations.
It will be the symbol of the Sunday Ride: the motorcycle through all eras until today!
The Suzuki will exceptionally wear the No. 5, Johann's favorite number in Moto2.
A unique moment not to be missed Saturday April 16 at 16:45 p.m. at Paul Ricard!
As a reminder, Johann will be on the SRC on Saturday April 16 only and will offer 2 signing sessions to its fans at 11:30 a.m. and 15:00 p.m. in the Shark area.
