For the third day in a row, and despite a relatively strong wind at the start of the session, Johann Zarco improved his times during this first Moto2 qualifying for 2016.

After refining his pace with worn tires, an area where the French driver particularly excels, he fitted new tires at the end of the session to be able to attack for three laps and record, during the last, a 1'59.419 which places him in 4th position on the grid.

Soon, the French driver will be keen to take his revenge on the selector problem which, last year, deprived him of the first in a long series of victories...

Johann zarco: “The qualification went well. In the end, 4th position was the best I could get and I just missed the front row. My race pace is high and I once again feel good with the worn tires. Everything is positive; I have to stay focused in the race tomorrow, be fast from the start, then drive more calmly to be very fast again in the finale. I want to thank the team because they did a great job and I feel better and better every time I get on the bike. I'm getting faster and faster. »
