After competitions held in Italy and Portugal for the first two rounds, the FIM World Championship JuniorGP™ lands in Barcelona for the third round of the season. The rain once again played its role in the first sessions of the weekend, but the sun eventually appeared, as did fast times.

Adrian Cruces (Finetwork Team) will start from pole in the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship, while Jorge Navarro (Klint Forward Junior Team) will also start at the front of the grid for the first time in the Moto2™ European Championship. In the European Talent Cup, Marco Morelli (MLav Racing) is on pole for the second time this season.

Pole position in FIM JuniorGP™ returned to Adrian Cruces, although the young Spaniard only recorded the second fastest time in qualifying. Initially it seemed thatAlessandro Morosi (CFMoto Aspar Junior Team) had done enough to secure a first P1 start, but the Italian was judged to have breached the technical regulations and was disqualified at the end of the session.

Adrian Cruces is therefore promoted to pole, while Casey O'Gorman (Team Estrella Galicia) and Eddie O'Shea (MLav Racing) complete the first row.

The current leader of the Championship, Jesus Rios, must be content with a start in P8, while he is joined by his closest rival for the title, Marco Uriarte (CFMoto Aspar Junior Team), on the third row, which leaves them with a lot of work to do in the two races on Sunday.

French side, Guillem Planques (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) is not present.

En Moto2™ ECh, Jorge Navarro won his very first pole position in the category thanks to a superb 1'43.355. The Spaniard had more than three tenths in his pocket over the winners of Estoril Mattia Casadei (Team Ciatti – Boscoscuro) and Roberto Garcia (Fantic Cardoso Racing), while the third race winner of 2024, Alberto Surra (Team Ciatti – Boscoscuro), will lead the second row to complete a strong quartet in the Moto2™ category. For Navarro, after securing his first podium at Estoril, the No. 11 will be keen to continue his momentum as he attempts to join the championship race in Catalonia.

French side, Johan Gimbert (PromoRacing), will start 15th, Lorenzo Fellon (SF Racing) 19th, and Charles Aubrie (JEG Racing) 23st.

In L'European Talent Cup, Marco Morelli took his second pole position of the season, the Argentine star having set a time of 1'51.875 in Q2. #97 currently occupies second place in the standings, having lost the initiative in the title race to Carlos cano (SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team) following the Spaniard's double victory at Estoril.

The current championship leader, however, will start from the back of the starting grid after receiving a penalty for slow driving, just like Valentin Perrone (Frando Racing VHC Team) for the same infraction. The Argentinian had recorded a lap good enough to be classified P2, meaning that David Gonzalez (AC Racing Team) and Gabriel Tesini (AC Racing Team) join Morelli on the front row, for Sunday's only ETC race.

French side, yes Henri Mignot (BRS Brechon Racing School), Matteo Roman (First Bike Academy), Elliot Kassigian (Team Larresport) and Randy Truchot (Mecaprojets Team Ado) will try to get back into the Last Chance Race, Benjamin Caillet (JEG Take OFF GP), Enzo Bellon (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), Remy Sanjuan (Mecaporjets Team Ado), David DaCosta (BRS Brechon Racing School), Evan Boxberger (JEG Take OFF GP) and Mattias Rostagni (Mecasport) qualified for the only race.
