Tech3 is very proud to be associated with the new MotoE Championship from 2019, which will certainly be very exciting and promising for the future.
At the same time, the new Tech3 E Racing team is happy to have Kenny Foray and Héctor Garzo on board for this challenge, a perfect blend of experience and youth.
34-year-old Frenchman Kenny Foray joins Tech3 with immense know-how after winning the French Superbike Championship in 2017 and competing in the World Endurance Championship for several years. Spaniard Hector Garzo, 20, is currently fighting for the top 3 of the FIM CEV Repsol Moto2 Championship on the Mistral 610, and was a replacement rider for the Tech3 Racing Moto2 team in 2017 and 2018.
Foray and Garzo are eager to start the new MotoE adventure with Tech3 E Racing.
Kenny Foray: “Je suis très heureux de participer à cette nouvelle aventure, c’est un vrai plaisir et je suis fier de travailler avec Tech3. Maintenant, je suis déjà très excité d’essayer la moto la semaine prochaine à Jerez ! ”
Héctor Garzo: “Tout d’abord, c’est un plaisir pour moi de devenir pilote officiel du Championnat du Monde MotoGP, et c’est aussi un plaisir de le faire avec Tech3. Pour moi, le nouveau projet MotoE est prêt à surprendre le monde, à cause des changements énormes qu’il va apporter. Ce n’est pas un championnat très long, mais je pense que c’est suffisant pour la première année de développement. Le plus important, c’est le niveau que cette nouvelle catégorie aura, en offrant aussi une place aux pilotes qui sont actuellement sur une MotoGP. Cela rend les choses plus difficiles, mais aussi plus compétitives. Mon objectif pour l’année prochaine est d’obtenir un très bon résultat dans la catégorie MotoE et je vais faire de mon mieux, uni avec mon équipe. Bien sûr, nous travaillerons dur ensemble !
