For the first time, the FIM will have a stand at the Salon du 2 Roues, the largest motorcycle show in France, which will be held from March 7 to 10 at Eurexpo Lyon, where a selection of machines spanning its twelve decades of history will be on display to promote its Heritage program and present FIM Certification for competition motorcycles.

Collectors, museums and owners are invited to submit their motorcycles for certification through a comprehensive online application process and, if approved, the motorcycle will be assigned a unique identification plate with a identification number, a QR code and a certificate.

Confidential owner data will be protected, but a database will allow the public to access information on all certified machines.

Jorge Viegas, the president of the FIM, declared: “There is no better occasion to promote the preservation and promotion of motorcycle racing heritage than the 120th anniversary of the FIM.
