Last session of the day and the Moto2 category was once again the scene of a festival of falls. A good number of riders made mistakes including Folger whose bike took a while before returning to the German's box, Simeon, Wilairot or even Virginie and Oliveira. The fall to remember is that of Johann Zarco in the last minutes.
Tom Luthi set its pace from the opening of the pitlane. After mid-session, the Swiss occupies the top of the ranking, alone below the 1'37 mark.
Less than 15 minutes from the checkerboard, Alex Kidneys, Johann zarco and Franco Morbidely threaten Luthi. Meanwhile, the IntactGP team is busy repairing the Kalex Folger to allow him to get back on the track with ten minutes of the session remaining.
Despite his efforts, Kidneys fails to regain the upper hand over Luthi. He will start from second position tomorrow in front Baldassarri which completes the first line.
Corsi, leader of FP1, will lead the second row ahead of Zarco who maintains a solid 5th place despite his fall. Morbidelli, Nakagami, Folger, Lowes, winner at Jerez, and Marini complete the Top 10 of this Moto2 qualifying for the French Grand Prix.
