The 2024 Japanese Grand Prix marked Takaaki Nakagami's final appearance at Motegi in MotoGP, at least as a regular rider. While the Honda rider ended the Sprint sadly, sent to the mat by his teammate, Johann Zarco, the latter had more success on Sunday, taking thirteenth place in the main race, to secure three important points. At the finish, Nakagami was applauded by all the Japanese present in the stands, whom he went to greet before heading to his garage, where he was overcome with emotion when welcomed by his team, as well as his family.
