After ten years of passion and hard work, the men of the team which will now be called LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Team seem able to continue their upward progression during the 2023 season, after the title of European Moto2 Champion of Lukas Tulovic and the victory of Dominique Aegerter in the MotoE World Cup acquired in 2022.

The German team started in 2013 with the German-Italian Sandra Cortese after winning the 3 Moto2012™ World Championship. Just three seasons later, Intact GP became a two-man team, joined by the Bavarian Jonas Folger, who quickly took his first victory for the Moto2™ racing team that same year in Brno, Czech Republic. With Marcel Schrötter, another German talent was then signed and Switzerland also entered the Intact GP family thanks to Tom Luthi, Moto2 world vice-champion in 2016 and 2017. In 2019, with Marcel Schrötter, the structure achieved eleven podium places and thus second place in the team standings during the team's most successful season to date. Qatar's double podium and Austin's incredible double will not be forgotten.

Recently, following the disagreement between Peter Öttl et Max Biaggi as for the ownership of the places of the Sterilgarda Max Husqvarna team on the Moto3 grid, it was the German who asserted his right to the detriment of the six-time Italian world champion, before joining forces with the Intact GP team in Moto2.

The Intact GP colors will therefore be worn in three categories, with drivers at each level able to fight for victory: Darryn binder et Lukas Tulovic in Moto2, Ayumu Sasaki et Collin Veijer in Moto3, Randy Krummenacher et Héctor Garzó in MotoE.

For the first time since 2019, the three founding members of the Intact GP team, Jürgen Lingg, Stefan Keckeisen et Wolfgang Kuhn, once again made a presentation in Memmingen, a small, quiet town in the heart of Bavaria, to unveil the new LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP colors. Present on stage in front of more than 500 guests were the drivers concerned as well as the forty people that now make up the German team, but also Dominique Aegerter came to say goodbye before devoting himself to Superbike.

It is therefore a team in full expansion that we will see on the circuits in 2023, with drivers who are not second knives…

Moto2:

Darryn binder : « It was a great opportunity at the time to go straight to MotoGP, but I'm very happy to be competing in Moto2 for the first time. This will be another new adventure for me and I hope to make the most of it. I'm really happy to be part of this team because there have been discussions before and it's great that everything is finally falling into place. I'm super excited for the 2023 season to start and I hope to apply all the experience I've had in MotoGP this year to Moto2 and make the most of it. Of course, I hope I can achieve good results. When I first tested the Moto2 bike it felt really good, although of course it was slower than a MotoGP. I felt comfortable very quickly and after three days I had already developed a good feeling. Step by step I figured out what the Moto2 bike needed and it's cool not having to worry about too many electronics because you can just go out there, ride and work on the setup, you concentrate on driving and improve with each ride. The tests have been really positive so I can't wait to start the season. »

Lukas Tulovic: “I love the new colors of the bikes and I'm sure we will stand out from the crowd. We were already at world championship level at some European Championship tracks and based on the riders who entered Moto2 in 2022, I think we can also expect to be in the top third. Of course, we will have to progress and improve throughout the season, but my goal is top 10.”

Moto3:

Ayumu Sasaki: “2022 has been a year of ups and downs for me. I had a few injuries at the start of the year but luckily we had some fantastic races in the second part of the season, where we got nine podiums as well as two wins, which was the best period of my past career . Next year I want to finish in the top 3, fight for the championship if possible, and I will do everything to achieve that. »

Collin Veijer: “I had an incredible 2022 season, especially at the start of the Rookies Cup when I took my first podiums in the first two races. At the JuniorGP I was injured in the first race, but during the summer break we trained a lot and tried to fix everything, which resulted in two wins in the JuniorGP category and three wins in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. I'm very excited about 2022 and can't wait to start this new adventure. I hope to learn a lot from Ayumu next year, but I have to make my own experiences and learn how to improve. »
