It rained heavily late yesterday afternoon and last night at the Red Bull Ring, and although the track is currently dry, its new level of grip will undoubtedly be one of the deciding factors in the 28-lap race which will start at 14 p.m. in Austria.

At work, therefore, under a sky that is still a little gray and temperatures have dropped to 18° in the air and 25° on the ground, while a certain Johann zarco calls for the return of rain for the 900th Grand Prix in history in the premier category!

Here are the references available, as the 22 drivers prepare for this final 20-minute test session:

When the red lights go out, and it's no longer a surprise, it's Franco Morbidelli who sets off first on the track in front Valentino Rossi...

It is interesting that Johann Zarco and Joan Mir left with rain tires to break them in…

Maverick Vinales registered the first reference in 1'26.216 in front Iker Lecuona and Valentino Rossi, before conceding leadership to Fabio Quartararo in 1'25.030.

On the next pass, we find three Yamahas in the lead, Maverick Casa Particular in Viñales scoring 1'24.695 ahead of the French and the Italian, while Franco Morbidelli look for the limit...

The Catalan driver from Iwata continues his effort in 1'24.509 while Jack Miller manages to fit between the representatives of the three tuning forks.

Midway through the session, Andrea Dovizioso seizes command before conceding it to Joan mir author of a 1'24.363 in his fifth flying lap.

The hierarchy is then composed of Joan Mir, Andrea Dovizioso, Maverick Viñales, Jack Miller, Takaaki Nakagami, Fabio Quartararo, Pol Espargaró, Danilo Petrucci, Valentino Rossi and Brad Binder.

In the wake, Andrea Dovizioso takes over the management of operations in 1'24.319...

This is the moment when Johann zarco takes back the handlebars of his Ducati, after having, like Alex Rins, decided to miss the first half of the session.

In the lead, we fight by thousandths, and Joan Mir regains the advantage over the Ducati rider, for 7 units.

As Franco Morbidelli earlier in the session, fabio quartararo goes for the limit several times in turn #4…

Latest winner, Andrea Dovizioso increases the pace in 1'24.126.

In extremis, Johann zarco recorded the fourth fastest time in just three flying laps!

In the end, the results of this warm-up confirm what we saw in the race last week: Andrea Dovizioso remains the man to beat on this route while Joan Mir and Takaaki Nakagami are progressing a little more every day...

What to say about Johann zarco, apart from the fact that he shows impressive strength of character?

The Yamahas will undoubtedly have their say for a place on the podium, but what about the KTMs, particularly discreet this morning?
