Next Thursday, just before the press conference which will bring together Marc Marquez (SPA-Honda), Valentino Rossi (ITA-Yamaha), Jorge Lorenzo (SPAYamaha), Andrea Dovizioso (ITA-Ducati), Dani Pedrosa (TBC) (SPA-Honda ) er Hector Barbera (SPA-Ducati), Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna CEO), will officially remove the number 65 from the list of racing numbers available in Grand Prix.

This is to honor the Italian pilot Loris Capirossi, 250cc world champion in 1998 and double 125cc world champion, in 1990 and 1991.

Capirex is still present in the world of Grand Prix, within the Race Direction, as Mr. Safety on behalf of Dorna Sports alongside Franco Uncini officiating the same responsibilities for the FIM.

The last number to be retired is 58, in honor of Marco Simoncelli, this year in Misano.
