World champions Max Biaggi and Loris Capirossi returned to the track during the Aprilia Racers Days event at the Mugello circuit.

It has been several years since both of them retired from sport, precisely one year apart. Since 2011 and 2012 in fact, Loris Capirossi et Max Biaggi have hung up their leathers, but not their passion. They never miss an opportunity to return to the track, especially at special events.

This was the case this weekend during the “Aprilia Racers” days on the Mugello circuit. Both rode an Aprilia RSV4 RF equipped with the factory kit designed by Aprilia to increase the performance of its machines, and gave advice to the fans in attendance who were also preparing to ride.

The two world champions visibly had a lot of fun, as indicated Loris Capirossi à crash.net : “Having the track for us and also here at Mugello was an emotional experience. As always, Max doesn't give up and really opens the throttle. I really liked the RSV4, especially in its Factory Works version. At Mugello, power and torque matter a lot and I really had a lot of fun. »

In addition to fun, Max Biaggi took a trip into the past for a nostalgic moment: “Of course we can't do what we did when we were competing anymore, but we're going really fast with this bike, and Loris still has his style. It was like driving towards our memories. This RSV4 is a motorcycle made for the track. I felt like I was back on my Superbike. We're going really fast and we're having a lot of fun. It’s an experience to be repeated. »
