The good weather has definitely settled on the Losail circuit and, with 22° in the air and 21° on the ground, the conditions are just as excellent as yesterday, which allowed Livio Loi to beat the record for circuit in this Moto3 category.
The MotoGP have also just shown that the track was faster than yesterday, which could allow the fastest to improve on the fresh best lap of the circuit established yesterday by Livio Loi, "The Sniper", the man the fastest of the first two sessions, in 2'05.832.
We will obviously be closely monitoring Rookies Joan Mir and Nicolo Bulega who managed to get on the virtual podium in FP2; a great achievement!
The first minutes begin with the double fall, without seriousness, of John Mc Phee and Darryn Binder at turn #10.
Meanwhile, we find Jorge Navarro and Livio in the lead, but the times are strangely slow compared to yesterday: 2'06.958, to close in 2'06.918 at the end of the first run. We nevertheless note the beautiful provisional 8th place of Jules Danilo.
In the second run, Brad Binder took advantage of the wake of his teammate, Bo Bendsneyder, to bring the provisional best time of this session to 2'06.502. On the next pass, we exchange good practices and Bo Bendsneyder suddenly finds himself 4th; This is what we call effective teamwork! But that's without taking into account the always surprising Livio Loi who sets a 2'06.170.
Niccolo Antonelli fell for the second time this weekend: a heavy highside which bruised his right shoulder, the one where he broke his collarbone two years ago. Adam Norrodin also fell, but lost the front.
At the restart, Jorge Navarro goes too wide at turn #5 then loses control of his Honda at turn #6 because of his dirty front tire, without seriousness, but the tests stop there for him today.
The final wrap-up sees Rookie Nicolo Bulega take to the position session.
Fabio Quartararo almost fell on a highside on his penultimate lap but immediately came to his senses and took the best time, in 2'05.859, on his last loop; great art! The French driver feels in perfect condition and thinks he can still gain two or three tenths.
Jules Danilo finally finished 25th, Alexis Masbou 29th.
