The good weather has definitely settled on the Losail circuit and, with 22° in the air and 23° on the ground, the conditions are just as excellent as yesterday, which allowed Livio Loi to beat the record for circuit in its category.
This was not the case in the only MotoGP test session since these, dating from 2008, are still holding up!

Today, the track is visibly faster than yesterday since from the first minute, Marc Marquez (Hard front/Soft rear) recorded a promising 1'55.808, just two tenths ahead of his teammate. In the process, Andrea Iannone already improves yesterday's best time, in 1'55.388 less than 10 minutes after the red lights went out. Lorenzo, in Medium/Medium, inserts himself between the two Repsol Hondas before the end of the first run. Valentino Rossi (Hard Front/Medium Rear) is 7th at 0,8 seconds, just behind Maverick Vinales.
The Dorna's camera shows us Yonny Hernandez making his Michelin tires smoke while accelerating, then Casey Stoner present in the Ducati stand.
At the restart, Scott Redding hoists his Ducati GP15 into 5th position, then Maverick Vinales takes provisional 3rd place, just ahead of Dani Pedrosa. Rossi tries the Soft tire before.
Dovizioso is in 5th place and Cal Crutchlow falls at high speed but without seriousness, losing the front at turn #16, which concludes this second run.
During the last third of this session, Jorge Lorenzo tried the Hard front / Medium rear tire combinations, just like Marc Marquez, while Loris Baz suffered a heavy fall at turn 14. The French driver got up, limping with his left ankle. .
The final race saw Vinales gain one place, second, before being passed again by Marquez and Redding.
The Yamahas are 7th and 8th, half a second behind Andrea Iannone.
