As after each Grand Prix, Carlo delivered his analysis to gpone.com, and like every Italian he had good reasons to rejoice, with a transalpine rider playing for the MotoGP world title with Ducati. “ It will be difficult in Valencia, but anything can happen » warns Pernat.

According to Charles Pernat, “Whatever happened, Ducati won the championship. Not mathematically, but for what they did this year. The 3 D's worked, I mean Dovizioso, Ducati and Dall'Igna, it's the Italian alphabet. Andrea admitted to me that he took a step forward in his head and I think this is due to the mental coach who has been with him for over a year and who helped him tear down the walls. Beating Marquez like he did means he took a big step forward.

“Dall'Igna arrived at Ducati at the right time, he took full responsibility and comes from the Witteveen school. Finally, there is Ducati, which has shown great perseverance in competition.

“I noticed that Marc Marquez was happy with his 4th place, despite it being one of his worst races. I repeat: without him, Honda would have won few, if any, titles in recent years.

“Yamaha has big problems in the wet and it's no coincidence that Ducati has overtaken them in the manufacturers' championship, something unthinkable not long ago. This confirms the fact that Ducati is the reference bike this year.

“It will be difficult in Valencia. Dovi must win on a complicated track, Lorenzo could perhaps give him a helping hand. It will be difficult, but in 2006 Valentino lost the title in the last race due to a faulty tire. Who knows if the destinies of Rossi and Marquez will see them cross in the last race of the year..."
