Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS driver Jack Miller scored a second straight top ten finish by finishing eighth at the checkered flag in a wet Malaysian Grand Prix.

A heavy downpour having soaked the track shortly before the start of the twenty laps of the race, the drivers had to put on rain tires before going to the grid.

Soggy, the Sepang track was as slippery as it was difficult to appreciate, which did not prevent Jack Miller to climb into tenth position on the first lap after starting from eleventh place on the grid.

Lacking grip and stuck in traffic, Miller then fell back to thirteenth place, failing to exploit his legendary ability in the wet.

When the grip started to improve, Miller was able to move up to eighth position with six laps remaining.

Ahead Bradley Smith, Pol Espargaro et Maverick Vinales, the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS driver then worked to control his lead as the rain increased in the final laps.

Miller and his Honda RC213V crossed the finish line three seconds ahead of Casa Particular in Viñales which ranks ninth.

The weather conditions did not succeed in Tito Rabat. True to himself, the Spaniard nevertheless held on to finish the race in eighteenth position.

Jack Miller: 8th
« The first laps were not easy because the grip was very bad and I had a lot of trouble staying on my wheels, especially in the left turns. It was even scary sometimes. It was only from halfway through the race that my rear tire started to work better and this allowed me to move up to eighth position. In the end, the weekend was positive. I was strong in the dry and this is my second top ten since coming back after breaking my leg. Now I hope to get a few more points in Valencia »

Tito Rabat: 18th
« It was dry and sunny this morning. Unfortunately, it started to rain and that was not the best that could have happened to me. I had no grip at the rear and found myself on my knee on the ground more than once while barely opening the throttle. There was no grip. I had a really weird feeling and I almost stopped before the end of the race. I still held on but I'm very disappointed to finish this far »

Michael Bartholemy: Team Principal
« Eighth is a good result for Jack considering he didn't have an easy start to the race. The conditions were difficult and he slipped a lot. He tried to catch Valentino in the last laps to take seventh place, and even though he didn't succeed I'm happy with his result. For Tito, the weekend was difficult because of the conditions and the rain made things even more complicated for the race. Now we have to think about the last race in Valencia »
