As the water took over the Malaysian track, the advantages of the pole position taken in the dry by the Spaniard dissolved. « So fifth is a good result. For the race, we had prepared a brand new bike that I had never tried before. I chose the soft rear tire. With him, I had more grip in the corners, but I also skated a lot in a straight line because he had difficulty getting the temperature. It was a compromise. The others also had difficulty and the lap times were faster than on Friday ».

A deliverance: “I didn't take many points during these last three meetings. This period overseas is always difficult for me. I now hope to finish on a good note in Valencia ". A route where the world title will be played out between Márquez et Dovizioso. During the last five editions on the Ricardo Tormo circuit, Pedrosa is shown on three occasions on the podium, with one victory.
