The Red Bull KTM Ajo team arrives at the French Grand Prix after good results obtained in Jerez. Miguel Oliveira has had three consecutive podiums, while Brad Binder is hoping to finally get on his first podium of the season.

After two third places in Argentina and Texas, and a second place in Jerez, Miguel Oliveira wishes to continue this positive dynamic at Le Mans: “The goal is to maintain our momentum from previous Grands Prix, in which we obtained three consecutive podiums. Obviously, we have to improve during qualifying to get further ahead. »

However, he knows that the weekend could be complicated given the 2017 Grand Prix: “Last year the French Grand Prix was very difficult for us. We never found the right setting to allow the bike to adapt to the track. It's a circuit with heavy braking and strong acceleration, so we will work on a configuration that allows us to be fast and comfortable. It will be important not to make mistakes, to continue to score points and to continue our series of podiums. »

The Portuguese's objective nevertheless remains the same as usual: “Finishing in the top 3 would be a great result. »

For its part, Brad Binder was very studious in preparing for this French Grand Prix: “I can’t wait to start the weekend at Le Mans. It will be the first time that I will race there with my Moto2 since I unfortunately missed the Grand Prix last year due to my injury. I did my homework and watched all the videos from last year's Moto2. »

Nevertheless, the South African is motivated to finally secure the first podium of his season this weekend: “I want to work hard and get a good result, like we did in Moto3 in 2016. My goal is to work well from FP1 until the race. If we succeed, the result will inevitably come by itself, because we have the potential to do it. »
