After a long and difficult season, punctuated by a superb World Champion title, but also by 27 falls, Marc Marquez chose to refrain from participating in the Superprestigio this year due to fatigue. This is easy to understand, especially since he has just hosted an “Allianz Junior Motor Camp” at the end of the season which brought together 17 boys and 3 girls on the Rufea off-road circuit in Lleida.

Marc explains in a video published on Motogp.com that young people aged 10 to 13 are supported by World Championship pros on and off the track.

“We try to teach the kids as much as possible to help them develop both as human beings and as pilots. It's great to be on the track with them because kids have a gigantic passion that you sometimes forget as an adult. »

Would Marc see himself one day as a trainer for young people? “ Coach or teacher? I'm not thinking about that yet. Oh, I like helping people I care about, like my brother or these kids. But in the end, I'm a racing driver and I love that too. I'm only 24, so I'm not thinking about it yet. It's far too long ago chronologically. »

Marc will take the opportunity to breathe a little this winter: “ It was a very difficult year, because the level was very high. It was very difficult to find the right feeling with the bike during the first part of the season and I had little fun. But then I changed my attitude and we had a very strong second half of the season. »

His brother Alex uses working with young people to take his mind off things. “ It's very fun to watch the children, they are so carefree and at the same time passionate. Here you forget about the season and are completely free. »
